Restoring Injured Kids

Restoring Disabled Children from Latin America has been an important part of the ministries of Bridge Builders International.

Because of the financial support of our network of contributors and the generosity of doctors and medical professionals, God has used the BBI family to bring hope and opportunity to disabled children in Latin America.

OPPORTUNITY TO BLESS JUNIOR MADARIAGA

                                                                                  Then 2011        Now 2016
The Need: A new prosthesis (left leg).

Cost: $2,200 for passport renewal, USA visa, travel, and incidental expenses during three weeks stay in Tulsa.

Junior
Junior is sixteen years of age. He lives in the infamous Nelson Mandela barrio of Cartagena, Colombia. He was born missing the lower portion of his left leg. In 2011 BBi coordinated a group effort involving Jeff Arnette of Progressive Orthotics, BBi sponsors, Templo Evangelistic in Tulsa, and the office of Senator Jim Inhofe to bring Junior to Tulsa where he was fitted with a first-quality prosthesis. That was five years ago. Click Here to View the Newsletter from 2011. Junior is very active and has grown a lot. The prosthesis is worn out and no longer fits well. In fact, Junior has missed some days at school recently due to problems with the prosthesis. Mr. Arnette has generously offered to build and fit a new prosthesis free of charge for Junior. Our role is to get Junior here for the fitting. That involves helping him get a new passport and providing documents for his visa application, flying him and a parent roundtrip to Bogota for the visa interview at the US embassy, escorting Junior to Tulsa, arranging lodging and transportation for appointments at the clinic, and getting him back to Cartagena, Colombia. If you want to be a part of this blessing for Junior, you may mail a check to the BBi mailing address, PO Box 2983, Broken Arrow OK 74013 or make a donation online at www.bbiok.org. Thank you.
